Order Entry (Continued)

Once the order header has been entered, you are now ready to enter the individual items that make up the order. You will notice from the screen shown below that a wealth of information is provided to the order entry person to make their job easier. This particular screen reflects the entry of a chop.

As each item on an order is entered, the price is instantly calculated and the proper amount of inventory is committed to the order. A running total of the order is maintained as each line item is entered. If an insufficient quantity of an item is in stock to complete the order, the order entry personnel can backorder the item, or display and suggest acceptable substitutes, or cancel all or part of the quantity ordered, or ignore the reported shortage.

While the specialty of Frameware 2000+ is its ability to accommodate chop, chop and join, corner samples and other "cutting" type functions associated with moulding, it also has the ability to sell virtually any supply item that you carry. The screen shown below shows the entry information for matboard.

Upon completion of the order entry process, a special read-back screen is provided to enable verification of the order with the customer.
